What You Need To Know About The Program

Beginning with the 2017-18 academic year, the Child Development Grant Program will no longer offer new awards. Eligible students who received payment(s) in the 2016-17 academic year will have the opportunity to renew their awards for the 2017-18 academic year.

Students who received a 2016-17 Child Development grant will receive the renewal application via email and may submit it directly to the Commission:

Campus financial aid administrators will be asked to verify eligibility for each renewal student in August 2017.

Eligible Students must:

  • Be enrolled in at least 6 units of Child Development classes;
  • Have demonstrated financial need; and
  • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
