California Student Aid Commission Privacy Notice on Information Collection
This notice is provided pursuant to the Information Practices Act of 1977, California Civil Code Sections 1798.17 & 1798.24 and the Federal Privacy Act (Public Law 93-579).
The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) Cash for College Program is requesting the information specified on this form pursuant to Education Code section 69551.
The principal purpose for requesting this data is to assist CSAC in improving its Cash for College program and identifying students in need of additional assistance in completing financial aid applications. The information provided will/may be disclosed to a person, to another government agency (including school districts, private and public universities and colleges, community colleges), or to researchers, where the transfer is necessary for
- CSAC to perform its constitutional or statutory duties, and the use is compatible with a purpose for which we are collecting the information.
- CSAC to provide to third party organizations partnering with CSAC to promote the Cash for College program, including promoting workshops and the possible award of scholarships to workshop participants; and
- CSAC to use in promotional efforts for the Cash for College program, including publicizing scholarship awards and their recipients.
Individuals should not provide personal information that is not requested.
The submission of all information requested is voluntary unless otherwise noted.
