Better FAFSA-Better CADAA

We are pleased to announce that both the 2024-25 FAFSA and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) have been released. The financial aid applications are now open, and students can begin applying for financial aid for the 2024-25 academic year. The state priority deadline in California is April 2, 2024. Some colleges may have earlier deadlines for institutional aid, and we encourage students to check with their colleges to ensure they are meeting all important deadlines.

UPDATE: March 5, 2024

The Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) continues to work on resolving the system issues affecting various users when trying to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA form, and continues to provide updates through the 2024-25 FAFSA Issue Alerts page. On March 1, 2024, FSA confirmed the resetting of the 2024-25 SAI formula to include the -$1,500 income floor for the SAI Formula A. The transmission of federal ISIRs and Cal-ISIRs to institutions is currently anticipated to begin by mid-March 2024.
