Late Cal Grant GPA Appeal Form
G-17

Post

State Law and Commission regulations allow a student to file an appeal if they were not able to submit their GPA on-time due to circumstances beyond their control. Students wishing to file an appeal to submit a late March 2 GPA must follow the instructions on the form below.

On May 19, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Gavin Newsom signed an Executive Order extending the Late GPA deadline from May 18, 2020 to September 2, 2020 for Cal Grant Entitlement students.  Students must have submitted a FAFSA or CADAA by the March 2nd deadline to qualify for this extended GPA submission deadline. Please contact your campus to complete and provide the GPA form, it is the student’s responsibility to make sure CSAC receives the verified GPA.

All late GPA appeals, and the calculated GPA must be submitted using the 2020-21 Late GPA form and must be received by the Commission:

1. For High School Entitlement Cal Grant candidates who have or will graduate high school (or achieve the equivalent) after July 1, 2017, or Transfer Entitlement Cal Grant candidates who are planning to transfer from a California Community College to a four-year college during the 2020-21 academic year: by Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

2. For Competitive Cal Grant candidates who missed the March 2, 2020, during the 2020-21 academic year: The deadline was Monday, March 23, 2020.

If there are any changes to our programs, we will communicate them to your campus and will post updates on our CSAC website.
