2020 Annual Statewide Financial Aid Workshops (Virtual)
(formerly known as High School Counselor Workshops)

Post

The Annual Statewide Financial Aid Workshop series is a partnership effort between the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA), The California Community Colleges Student Financial Aid Administrators Association (CCCSFAAA), the Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) and the California Student Aid Commission. These free workshops offer high school counselors, student advocates, outreach specialists and community education partners relevant financial aid training that they can use to support their students. Topics include updates to the 2021-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA), as well as an overview of the Cal Grant programs and other programs for foster youth.

While our Annual Statewide Financial Aid Workshops have always been conducted as in-person events, due to Covid-19 restrictions, all 2020 training events will be virtual. Our virtual platform will consist of live webinars through Zoom, recorded workshop modules, new informational training videos and an online, virtual version of the workshop workbook.

While we won’t be together in person this year, we will continue to support our stakeholders during these difficult times by offering an exceptional online training experience.  Be sure to register for List-Serv to receive any training updates, as well as other important financial aid-related information from CSAC.
