Black College Expo Sacramento
Cancelled 11/15/2018 California State University Sacramento

Event

Unfortunately, CSU Sacramento has notified us this afternoon that the first Sacramento Black College Expo, scheduled for Saturday, November 17, will have to be canceled due to the poor air quality in the Sacramento area.  The University campus has been closed all week due to the smoke, and some Sacramento area school districts are closed or closing, as well.  UC Davis has also notified us that the campus tour would not be available and some school districts have begun cancelling their buses to bring students to the event.  We had at least 1500 students registered and our partner the National College Resources Foundation is notifying those students of the cancellation.

At this point, we do not know whether another date will be available to hold this event before March 2, but CSU Sacramento has assured us that every effort will be made to find a date.
