Golden State Teacher Grant (GSTG) Program Social Media Toolkit
The Golden State Teacher Grant (GSTG) Program awards up to $20,000 for students who are currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program to earn a preliminary credential and commit to teach at a priority school in California in a high-need field for four years within five years after completing their teacher preparation program.
A “high-need field” includes any of the following:
- Bilingual Education (English Learner designated classes or a dual immersion in the credentialed subject area)
- Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), including career technical education in STEM areas
- Special Education
- Multiple Subject Instruction
- Transitional Kindergarten
Other subjects may be designated annually by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) based on an analysis of the availability of teachers in California pursuant to Education Code Section 44225.6.
