California Student Aid Commission delegation in Washington, DC

California Student Aid Commission Chair, Dr. Lande Ajose will be joined by the Commission’s Executive Director, Lupita Cortez Alcalá and Government Affairs staff in meeting with congressional representatives to discuss financial aid policy. Dr. Ajose is an expert in education and issues of inequity and serves as Executive Director of the California Competes project, an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan project aimed at bolstering the state’s post-secondary outcomes. As part of the Commission’s mission of making education beyond high school financially accessible to all Californians, the delegation meets with congressional members to discuss how federal financial aid policy impacts California students and the efforts of the Commission to meet its objectives.
