Devon Graves is a student at University of California, Los Angeles, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies working towards a doctorate degree in Higher Education and Organizational Change. He graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He is from Murrieta California where he graduated from Vista Murrieta High School.
Devon is a first generation college student who was able to access a higher education by taking advantage of various financial aid options. He has been heavily involved as a student leader. Devon was a redshirt on the menís basketball team and served on the Bronco Athletic Association. He left the basketball team in 2012 when he was appointed Attorney General for the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI). After serving his term in ASI, Devon served two terms as the Chair of the California State Student Association (CSSA), the recognized statewide advocacy group for the 465,000 CSU students.
Devon is passionate about financial literacy and wants to promote the different financial aid programs and information to ensure that students have all the tools they need to understand the cost of college, take advantage of all financial aid opportunities, and select the college that best suits them. As a graduate student researcher, Devon is working on research projects that focus on financial aid issues.
