Lynne De Bie

California Secondary Schools Representative (Governor Appointee)

Lynne De Bie, of Dixon, was appointed to the California Student Aid Commission in January of 2008. Mrs. De Bie began her employment in the Dixon Unified School District as an English teacher in 1978, and has served as a Dixon high School counselor since 1979. She also works as an external reader for the UC Berkeley Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Mrs. De Bie was an inaugural member of the University of California Office of the President High School Counselors Advisory Council, serving a three-year term from 1993 through 1995. She has served as a chairperson and committee member on several Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Accreditation visitation teams since 1982.

Mrs. De Bie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as elementary and secondary teaching credentials at the University of California, Davis, and her Master of Science degree in School Counseling at California State University, Sacramento.

Mrs. De Bie is a member of the California School Counselors Association, Dixon Teachers Association, California Teachers Association, and the National Educators Association.
